Cellist Lucia Swarts and Challenge Classics celebrate twenty years of collaboration. This new CD by Lucia focuses on chamber music by five women composers. While Fanny Mendelssohn, Clara Wieck and Mel Bonis can be ascribed to a romantic ‘aura’, both Lili Boulanger and Henriette Bosmans may be included in the Impresionistic movmement, but actually trascended it via an original quest for a personal style.
